JOIN MAINSPRING AND OUR FRIENDS AT MOUNTAINTRUE TO RESTORE NATIVE HABITAT IN CULLOWHEE!
Mainspring is partnering with MountainTrue to control non-native invasive plants along the Jackson County Greenway. During this 3 hour volunteer workday, we will primarily be pulling up roots, and using hand tools to remove invasive shrubs (such as Chinese privet and Multiflora rose) before treating stumps.
No prior experience is necessary. Both large and small tasks will be available, and not all tasks are physically strenuous. All tools and training will be provided, just bring your water and enthusiasm! Please leave your pets at home.
This event is scheduled for 1:00pm-4:00pm. Please wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and long sleeves.
For more details and to register for this event, please visit MountainTrue’s website. Contact MountainTrue’s Western Region Habitat Restoration Associate Kate Bridgers with any questions. We look forward to improving wildlife habitat with you!
